How Many Are Left?

It is estimated, currently the total is between 3000 and 4000, tigers living in the WILD. This does not include tigers in captivity.

As far as how many of each subspecies, here are the results:

Begal Tiger: 1411

Indochinese Tiger: 600-800 or less

Siberian Tiger: Around 400

Malayan Tiger: Less than 400

Sumatran Tiger: 300-350

South Chinese Tiger: less than 15
